Editorial Reviews

From AudioFile
Not all televangelists are svelte and trim, but they can be--and so can everyone else--by following Dr. Colbert's advice. Chock full of valuable facts about why we become overweight and how to alter our lifestyles to remedy that, BIBLE CURE also injects biblical pep talks to motivate the faithful who wish to lose weight. A trifle overzealous when it comes to religious diatribes but more than adequate in explaining how those extra pounds come to be and how to rid ourselves of them, THE BIBLE CURE is actually a valuable tool for the pudgy. Customer Reviews

Not What I Thought1
I was looking for a way for someone to gain muscle mass in the midst of losing weight. This is more of a generalized thing.

good information4
I thought the audio tape was a great idea. I drive a lot and it was nice to be able to finish hearing the book in 45 minutes. The spiritual motivation was fantastic. I am not sure how current the diet information is. I felt conflicted about some of the information and wondered if it was up to date. It does not have a specific diet however it is a low carbohydrate diet plan with long term health of utmost importance and I believe it does have a low glycemic index feel to it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have listened to it multiple times just for the spirtitually motivating essence of it.

Practical Tips4
This book had a lot of good practical tips in it. It ties back to the glycemic index and how food in the past just didn't impact our blood sugar the way that food today does. (Before food was natural, and now, everything is highly processed.) It made me really think about things, and after a month following it (and not having time for exercise), I lost about five pounds. I could tell it was fat because most of my cellulite went away (interesting, huh?) I have about 25 more pounds to lose, but I plan to keep using the ideas in this book.
